Free Link Analyzer

List every link on a page with its anchor text, internal or external type, and rel attributes: dofollow, nofollow, sponsored and ugc. Useful for checking a guest post placement or a page you plan to buy a link on.

›Or paste the page HTML instead (for pages that block bots or need a login)

We fetch the page HTML once (8 second limit, public http and https URLs only, 20 checks per 10 minutes). Links added later by JavaScript are not in the HTML, so they will not appear. Pasted HTML is parsed in your browser and never uploaded.

How to use the link analyzer

Enter the page URL and click Analyze URL. If a site blocks automated requests, open the fallback box and paste the page’s HTML source instead (Ctrl+U, or Cmd+Option+U on a Mac). You will see a table of every link with its anchor text, whether it is internal or external, and its rel value. You can filter internal and external links and copy the results as CSV.

Dofollow, nofollow, sponsored and ugc

A link with no rel restriction is usually called dofollow. Google’s documentation describes rel=”nofollow” for links you do not want to vouch for, rel=”sponsored” for paid or sponsored links and rel=”ugc” for user-generated content such as comments. Google treats these attributes as hints. When you buy a guest post, check that your link carries the attributes you agreed with the publisher.

Why check outbound links before buying a placement

A page that links out to dozens of unrelated or low-quality sites passes less value and can be a sign of a link farm. Run a sample article from the publisher through this tool and look at how many external links there are and where they point.

Link analyzer FAQ

Is this link analyzer free?

Yes. It is free with no sign-up. Each visitor can run 20 URL checks every 10 minutes.

What if a site blocks the analyzer?

Some sites block automated requests. Open the page, view its source and paste the HTML into the fallback box. This also works for pages behind a login that you can see.

What counts as a dofollow link?

A link without nofollow, sponsored or ugc in its rel attribute. The tool labels these as dofollow.

Does it show links added by JavaScript?

No. It reads the HTML source you paste. Links inserted later by scripts are not in that source.

How do I check a guest post link?

Paste the source of the published article, enter its URL and look for your domain in the external links table. Check its anchor text and rel value.
